WhatsApp officially announced that they are going to stop supporting old smartphones by the end of 2016. WhatsApp had 7 years of its entry into the app store and it’s been it’s serving people. Video calling feature is the latest update from WhatsApp in 2016. It’s hard to believe that WhatsApp is going to stop supporting few old model smartphones and old operating systems.
In their words “As we look ahead to our next seven years, we want to focus our efforts on the mobile platforms the vast majority of people use. So, by the end of 2016, we will be ending support for WhatsApp Messenger on the following mobile platforms” Source: WhatsApp.
Devices, Mobiles that WhatsApp will not Support in 2017
We all know WhatsApp is the best messenger for texting since it’s launch. We were using the WhatsApp messenger in any kind of mobile device whether it can be a smartphone or not. And that facility is going to end by the end of December 31, 2016. It’s an official announcement from WhatsApp.
They are working, even more, harder to provide users the best experience. WhatsApp can focus on latest smartphones and latest operating systems that a vast people uses. That will be great if they can do better changes to WhatsApp in terms of Security and Safety. Let’s hope for best and wish WhatsApp to rule the mobile devices in the upcoming years.
